Malfunctions in industrial plants. Avoid them effectively.

kwi 21, 2020

More and more often in the industrial processes are used solutions from the field of industrial automation. This fact can be very easily explained. Modern machines that replace personnel with repetitive tasks make fewer mistakes and also work much more efficiently. It is worth noting, however, that such machines can also be subject to failure. Fortunately, the risk of their occurrence can be minimized.

First and foremost, it is worth noting that maintenance of continuous production processes is essential. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly inspect the technical condition of the machines that are used in the plant. The conducted research indicates that the lack of systematic controls affects the occurrence of failure – up to 60% of failures could be avoided if the condition of machines used in production halls was regularly verified.

High-performance components are the basis of modern machines. The most effective solution is original components – it is basically an investment in the reliable operation of the newest machines. Noteworthy fact is that the original components are parts which are safe to be worked on. Furthermore, their application reduces machine failure rate, which translates into the absence of problematic downtime in the plant. The original parts, dedicated to a specific machine, are much more durable.

Definitely, low-quality substitutes are not supposed to be used. At this point it is worth noting that the usage of replacements, or simply non-original parts, may result in the machine losing its warranty. Generally speaking, replacements usually operate well after installation. They are however not as durable as the original parts and in addition their use involves additional repairs and inspections.
Unsatisfactory quality of the replacement materials is another factor that contributes to the more frequent occurrence of failures. From a financial point of view, it is worth investing directly in the original parts, even if they are more expensive, and subsequently not incurring the costs associated with more frequent renewals as is the case with replacements.
